The Scientific Center of Kuwait is pleased to announce the launch of the Aquarium Interactive System today, 14th December, 2009. Mr. Mijbil Almutawa, the Chairman & Managing Director, expressed his pride in being the first Aquarium in the world to install such a system. He also congratulated the TSCK Team for the successful launch of this project that involved 9 months of hard work and dedication. THE AQUARIUM INTERACTIVE SYSTEM is an effort to provide relevant information to the visitors through 42 interactive touch-screens. Large interactive 46” screens are placed at prime locations, while smaller 26” interactive screens are placed in front of each exhibit. All the screens operate at the touch of your fingertip and provide relevant information about the exhibit such as: animal facts, what they eat, how they live etc. Videos and pictures are used to support the information. Some screens also have KIDS section that aims to provide relevant knowledge through interesting games and activities. The visitors have the option to select the language of their choice, either Arabic or English. The screens are an added value that enriches the visitors’ tour of the Aquarium with no extra costs, simply by purchasing a ticket not only to walk through but now to interact as well within this attraction, for only KD 3 per adult and KD 2 per child.
